Chapter 8: Eat dry and don't pay!

Tang Mo There's no time for sadness or fear.

The cleric and Xiao Zhao had disappeared so completely, leaving no clothes or belongings behind, that he didn't have to help pack anything.

Tang Mo closes the door behind her and leaves the library.

Under the black tower in the city center, there were still seven or eight people gathered. Some of them were paralyzed on the ground, not understanding what happened just now, why and their companions in the shouting tour | line in just a few minutes all disappeared; there are also two elite dressed in middle-aged men in the demolition of the white wall.

The white plastic wall was erected three days ago by the Wu|Police to enclose the Black Tower and keep it away from the general public.

Now the armed police have disappeared, and so have the scientists who were doing research in the White Wall. The two men tore a large hole in the white wall and approached the black tower. Tang Mo didn't follow them to see, he looked away and continued on his way.

So many scientists had studied it for half a year and hadn't come up with any clues. He didn't really think he could figure out what this black tower really was.

The first problem Tang Mo had to face was the lack of a car.

It's now 8:15, and at exactly 8:00, the goddam and Xiao Zhao disappeared. Like them, most of the city has disappeared. Without drivers, buses and subways can't get home. In addition many people were still driving when they disappeared, and now these cars are crashing together sideways, blocking most of the road.

Tang Mo walks half a kilometer and sees a small yellow car that has fallen to the ground.

He took out his cell phone and scanned the QR code.

"I'm sure it's not working ......"

Tang Mo tightened his brows and squatted down to observe the lock and key structure of the little yellow car. After watching for two minutes, he picked up a stone from the ground and began to thump the lock.

Tang Mo's wrists were a little raw from the massive recoil, but he was much stronger than before, and with just two smashes, the steel latch was broken.

Tang Mo looked thoughtfully at the piece of iron lock that he had smashed off and rode his little yellow bike home.

Forty minutes later, he entered the neighborhood and parked his little yellow car downstairs.

In the silence of the neighborhood, no one was around, only the rustle of the wind blowing the leaves gently resounded. Tang Mo went home and simply packed up some clothes. Tang Mo's parents were both only children, and his grandparents passed away when he was a child. His parents died in a car accident when he was in college, and after that he had little contact with his relatives.

Tang Mo's close friends didn't stay in Suzhou after graduating from university, one went to Beijing and the other to Shanghai.

The godly man's daughter is also in Shanghai, so he can just go and find his best friend.

Tang Mo was stuck at the library yesterday evening, and when he got home he filled his stomach, then packed some clothes and shoved them into his suitcase. With his things packed, there was a more serious problem--

He doesn't have a car.

From Suzhou to Shanghai, it only takes half an hour by high-speed train, or one hour by car.

High-speed rail is definitely out of operation now, and Tang Mo can't quite imagine what's going on on the railroads right now. If it's the same as on the street, the driver suddenly disappeared and countless cars crashed one after another. Then on the railroad, I'm afraid the uncontrolled trains have all crashed into each other.

He needs a car.

Tang Mo walked upstairs and knocked on the landlord's door. After three minutes, with no response from the door, he grabbed the iron plate hand he had brought from home and smashed it through the lock as hard as he could.

As soon as I entered, I smelled the extremely heavy odor of coal.

Tang Mo's eyes flinched, and he hurriedly ran to the kitchen to turn off the gas stove and open the window to ventilate the room.

There were still cut vegetables on the kitchen table, and it was obvious that the owner of the house was preparing a delicious breakfast before he disappeared. Tang Mo left school a year ago and rented this house from a very nice old couple who lived upstairs. The landlord is a very nice old couple who live upstairs. The old couple is retired and has nothing to do at home, so sometimes they invite Tang Mo upstairs for dinner.

Tang Mo does not own a car and used to borrow cars from his landlord.

He gingerly pulled his car keys from the drawer under the TV cabinet, checked around, and after realizing that the house was really empty, opened the door and left.

Shanghai is too close to Suzhou to use much fuel, but Tang Mo realizes that his landlord's car is running out of gas, and the needle is approaching the red line. The needle is approaching the red line. Based on this amount of gas, he'll break down halfway through the trip at the most.

Had to go ahead and get gas.

Tang Mo inserted the key into the lock hole and wrenched it to the right. The moment he started the car, a sharp pain suddenly invaded his heart. As if being pressed by a big hand, Tang Mo's face turned pale in an instant, his heart pounded, and his blood flowed to the extreme.

His body temperature was climbing rapidly at an unimaginable rate.

It got to 40 degrees in a minute!

The 40-degree heat didn't burn Tang Mo's brain, however, and he was conscious enough to clearly feel a sharp knife cutting into his heart. His temperature was still climbing and the pain in his heart was increasing.

Tang Mo slams his fist into the passenger seat, but it doesn't ease the pain.

The intense pain caused his consciousness to fade as well.

When Tang Mo woke up ten hours later, it was pitch black. While unconscious, his clothes were wet with sweat over and over again, then dried naturally, then soaked with sweat again. This was repeated back and forth an unknown number of times before his heartbeat returned to normal and the unexplained pain disappeared.

Tang Mo's face was still a bit ugly, but his eyes were incredibly sharp and bright.

He touched his chest, and that heart had resumed beating normally. After checking the rest of his body again, there was no abnormality.

Then he reached out and grabbed a book out of the air.

He grabbed the book completely out of the air, but there was no surprise on Tang Mo's face. It was a notebook-like book with a yellowish-brown hardboard kraft paper cover, and when he opened the book, the inside was blank. Tang Mo stared attentively at the blank paper, and under his gaze, lines and lines of words appeared on the white paper.

[Alien Power: Eating without Paying]

[Owner: Tang Mo]

[Type: Special]

[Function: Collecting psychic abilities]

Remarks: Everyone has a dream in his heart, to eat everything without paying! Don't look at Tang Mo, he looks like a human being, but he has always wanted to do this kind of thing. Tang Mo was seven years old when he stole chocolate from a neighbor's kid and didn't pay, ten years old when he copied his classmate's homework and didn't pay, and fifteen years old when he peeked at the first little yellow movie of his life and still didn't pay!

You see, he's thinking of eating it all without paying for it!

Tang Mo: "......"

You're nuts!!!

Tang Mo almost wants to slap this book and glue it to the wall.

Hurray he endured it.

It's his psychic ability.

When Tang Mo wakes up, he knows he has psychic powers. His psychic ability is not wind, fire, thunder, or natural divine power, it's a book, or a book that makes you want to slap it to death.

Tang Mo kept flipping through the book, but unfortunately, other than the few pieces of information displayed on the first page, there were no other words on the book. He read for half an hour without seeing any clue, and after reading for a long time, another line of words appeared on the book instead.

[Note: You still think Tang Mo pays? My friend, he's trying to figure out whether or not to pay for gas at the station!

Tang Mo: "......"

"Bang--"

A book was thrown out of the car window.

After a minute, the lean, handsome young man stepped out of the car and picked the book back up with an expressionless face.

The book was on the passenger seat, and Tang Mo didn't look at it again. He drove to the nearest gas station. The station was dead silent, no one was there. A few gas hoses were casually dropped on the ground, and the pungent diesel fuel flowed all over the place. It was estimated that the staff was refueling and then suddenly disappeared.

Tang Mo pauses before getting out of the car and takes his wallet, which is in the back seat.

There was apparently no one in this gas station, and he still called out, "Anyone?"

When she gets no response, Tang Mo walks straight to a gas pump. A card has been inserted into the pump, a card commonly used by the staff. Each staff member at the gas station has a card with a high credit limit, from which they pay for gasoline directly to the driver.

Tang Mo doesn't have a car and doesn't have a private fuel card, so now he can only use the staff's card to refuel directly.

The tall, thin, dark-haired young man quickly fills up his tank at the quiet, empty gas station. A dark night always makes people feel nervous, and this was originally a very busy part of Suzhou Park, but now there is no one but Tang Mo standing under the bright lights, filling up his car with gas.

A sharper wind whistled through the darkness around them as if hiding something.

Tang Mo put the gas hose back, and before he was about to leave his face changed, as if he had thought of something, and took two more hundred dollar bills out of his wallet and placed them on the floor of the gas station, pressed against a rock.

Just as he got up and was about to return to his car, suddenly something cold rested against his backside, and Tang Mo maintained his bent-over position without moving again.

"Don't move! Get your wallet out, now!"
