Chapter 9: Stupid.

Qiao Lan walked into the classroom with candy in her pocket, always feeling that the atmosphere in the classroom was a bit off today.

But again, I didn't think much of it, maybe it was because there was a gym class in the afternoon and everyone was more excited, after all, the previous two gym classes had been changed to study hall because of the rain.

It's a sunny day instead.

Gym class is the last period of the afternoon.

After the second period, the class rushed to the bottom of the building one by one, and Qiao Lan, having organized her things, glanced back out of habit. Tan Mo hid herself in a small shadow behind the wall, her head lowered, out of place in the bustling classroom.

Qiao Lan packed up her books and slowly descended the stairs, the playground was just across the road to the right of the school building, the students were chattering and coming together, the sports commissioner was shouting at everyone to form a line.

The gym teacher, who also knew the students were trying to play, organized a few sets of exercises and dismissed the students, who cheered and headed for the court.

Song Yao waited for the group to break up and then turned to Qiao Lan.

She had been a little unsure of what to do for the past few days.

She was the one who brought Qiao Lan along to play with her, even though her friends didn't like her. Even Chen Yaoyang said that Qiao Lan was not what she seemed to be, but actually had a very deep heart, and told her to stay away from Qiao Lan.

Song Yao is in a difficult situation, especially after Qiao Lan and her close friend have a fight, Song Yao is even more difficult, if she takes the initiative to ask Qiao Lan to come and play with her, her best friend will not be happy.

But as soon as I turned my head and saw Qiao Lan standing alone, I felt a little bit bad about it. I was wondering whether to ask Qiao Lan to play with me, but then the girls I was playing with pulled me away.

"What are you gawking at, Yao Yang and the others are about to play!"

Song Yao's thoughts were instantly snapped away by Chen Yaoyang's name, and when he turned his head again, Qiao Lan had already disappeared.

Probably watched Chen Yaoyang and the others play too.

Song Yao actually knew that Qiao Lan liked Chen Yaoyang, but there were too many people who liked Chen Yaoyang, from childhood to adulthood, too many to count, she had long gotten used to it, and she even knew that a few of her friends with whom she played well also liked Chen Yaoyang.

There was a lot of activity on the course today.

The boys played and the girls watched, and even the students from other classes came to watch today's ball, mainly because of two people.

One Chen Yaoyang, one Hao Ying.

Chen Yaoyang because handsome, and in the first monthly examination took the first grade good results, from then on became the star of the whole school; and Hao Ying, a school is a star figure, just because Hao Ying long a star face, he and a very popular actor at that time look like 70%, when the first report, even the senior high school senior sisters all ran to see him.

This two people together to play ball, not a moment around the court surrounded a circle of people, Qiao Lan bypassed the crowded court, just quietly into the elementary school building back to the classroom.

She wasn't in the mood to watch a bunch of high school kids play ball, much less have masochistic tendencies to stand there and be sneered at as a living target, so she might as well go back to class and read.

The classroom is quiet and Tan Mo is the only one reading.

All the students had gone to the playground for gym class and he was the only one in the classroom.

Tan Mo prefers to be alone. The absence of other people around him and the absence of chaotic noises is a rare relaxation for Tan Mo, who reads faster than usual when he is alone and is not mentally tense.

Prolonged periods of intense concentration on maintaining a forbidden posture can be physically and mentally exhausting.

But the next moment, clear footsteps stepped into the classroom, making Tan Mo's body stiffen abruptly in a split second.

Someone's coming.

He looked up brightly, recognizing the person who had come to the classroom in an instant through his overgrown frontal hair.

It was the girl who kept saying hello to him.

But after the last time he had warned her to stay away from him, she had never said good morning or good afternoon to him again.

He guessed it would be, and deserved it.

If it's good intentions, it's time to give up after he's rejected them over and over again, and if it's bad intentions, it's time to know what's going on after he's noticed them.

But if you've given up, why are you here again?

Why was he here, and why was he still able to smile at his like he had a few times before.

How could it be good intentions, when even his own father had chosen to shrug it off after being rejected by him a few times, let alone by such a stranger.

So it's malice, is it.

Because she had said something like that to humiliate him a few days ago, because she hadn't gotten there so far, that's why she was so insistent over and over again... what was she trying to do? What does she really want?

He kept his head down, guessing what exactly she would do, but was powerless to think what he could do even if she wanted to do something.

He didn't have the ability to fight back, or even stand up.

All the sounds around him were clearer than usual, he could hear the girls' footsteps getting closer and closer, and the sound of chairs being pulled away... And finally the sound of a book being gently flipped open.

Calm returned to the surroundings.

Tan Mo looked up from out of nowhere.

The girl who had just walked into the classroom was sitting in her seat, head down, a pen in her hand writing something.

She didn't go near him, she went back to her seat.

She didn't do anything, she didn't show the slightest bit of malice, Tan Mo unconsciously gripped the pen in her hand and her gaze fell straight onto the body of the girl sitting in front of her as if she was trying to find out a little something from her.

The tip of the pen touches the paper leaving a slight rustling sound, serene and calm.

Tan Mo was still staring at her, and if Qiao Lan turned back, she could see the nearly breathtaking gaze.

In fact, when she just entered the classroom, she wanted to approach and greet Tan Mo, but realized that Tan Mo was nervous.

Remembering what he had read in the previous profile, Qiao Lan gave up on approaching Tan Mo, and in the end just smiled at him and returned to his seat.

Qiao Lan was working very hard on the problem, Tan Mo was staring at Qiao Lan even harder, Qiao Lan's back was turned to him, so he couldn't see his unscrupulous and probing eyes.

As time passed by, the sun began to gradually turn west, and the sunlight lying on its side shone into the classroom, illuminating bit by bit the shadows belonging to Tan Mo that were originally blocked by the wall.

Tan Mo's desk was gradually covered with sunlight, which shone on the open books and vaguely stung Tan Mo's eyes.

He wasn't very comfortable with strong lighting, and if it were brighter, his eyes would even be a little hard to see.

He returned his gaze to Qiao Lan, but when he looked over again, Qiao Lan's body was a bit hard to see, and there was a dark shadow in front of his eyes.

The eyes hurt more.

He closed his eyes, and when he opened them he reached out to tug at the curtains not far away, but they were a bit far away, and he brought his wheelchair forward, but he couldn't make it work.

Qiao Lan heard a little movement when she was working on a question, and when she looked back, she found Tan Mo's pale hands grasping the curtains, but because the distance was a bit far away, the curtains could only make a slight rattling sound.

It was only then that Qiao Lan noticed that half of Tan Mo's body had been exposed to the sun.

He's afraid of the light.

Qiao Lan has discovered another secret.

After a moment's hesitation, Qiao Lan gently pushed the chair and stood up, Tan Mo's sensitive hearing heard the noise for a moment, and his hand gripping the curtains suddenly trembled and froze.

He heard her pull back her chair, her footsteps coming closer to him.

He lifted his head stiffly and watched as she stepped in front of his eyes, walked to the window, closed it and reached up to draw the curtains again.

In an instant, all the blinding light was covered behind the curtains, the space belonging to Tan Mo regained its previous brightness, and the vision, which had been somewhat distorted by the sunlight just now, gradually returned to normal.

He saw the gently upturned corners of her lips, with the dark eyes that watched him intently.

Her pupils were really dark.

But if Tan Mo could read other people's eyes as well as normal people could, then he could see the light smile hidden in those dark eyes.

Tan Mo was still tense, but the tightness didn't seem quite the same as it had just been.

Tan Mo lowered his head and raised it again when the other man said "I'm sorry".

The girl with the dark eyes sat down in the chair in front of her, her eyes level with his, "I'm sorry," the girl said, "I was just trying to talk to you the other day, and I'm really sorry for offending you, but I really didn't mean to."

Tan Mo looked at her steadily without speaking.

Qiao Lan paused and reached in his pocket, finally taking out a lollipop and placing it on his desk, "I really didn't mean to, can you forgive me."

Tan Mo still looked at her, still didn't say anything.

Although she knew that approaching Tan Mo would be a difficult task, Qiao Lan was still a bit disappointed that Tan Mo was still very resistant to her. With a silent sigh, she looked back at the time, there were still five minutes left before the end of the class, she had to go down to the assembly.

"I have to go down to the assembly," Qiao Lan stood up and turned toward the door, taking two steps before turning around again, "Tan Mo, see you later."

Tan Mo was hidden in the shadows behind the wall, motionless.

It wasn't until Qiao Lan's figure had disappeared and his footsteps were far away that he dropped his eyes to the candy on the table.

He never eats sugar.

After a long period of silence, he picked up the candy, turned the wheelchair and moved slowly to Qiao Lan's seat, placing the candy slowly on Qiao Lan's table.

On the table is Qiao Lan's physics paper that she just didn't finish, most of it is already written, there are still a few questions left, and a piece of the finished section is empty.

It's that she won't do purposely empty.

Tan Mo stared at the question for less than twenty seconds, then turned away with an expressionless face.

He could work out the answer to this question in his head in just twenty seconds.

He knew all of this knowledge by the time he was twelve, but she couldn't actually do it.

It's stupid.

Stupid beyond belief.

Would someone so stupid really try to lie to him over and over again just to humiliate him.

Tan Mo's hand on the wheelchair paused.

After a long period of silence, Tan Mo turned his wheelchair back to Qiao Lan's seat, opened Qiao Lan's book, memorized the names on the book, and finally took the candy he had just returned back into his hand.
