"You're not allowed to touch me!"

Chapter 88

Shi An flew high in the sky, and the cold wind swept past him.

He thought critically about his plan, and the more he thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.

But there's something missing.

He slowly flew lower, manipulating his magic to shrink his size, and soon went from a giant dragon capable of covering the sky to a miniature dragon only an arm's length away.

That way, even if someone saw him, they would think that he was just a small flying demon, and would not think of him as a dragon.

Shi An found a random country house with no one at it and broke in.

The country house is lavishly decorated and has an extensive food storage that fills almost the entire room, right up to the ceiling.

Shi An happily filled herself up and came to to the bedroom.

He searched for a full set of clothes, and with great difficulty, he stuffed them into his travel bag with his paws.

After all, the one he wore earlier had been destroyed when he turned into a dragon, and after Mu Hang was picked up by the Administration's people, he would have to hurry to change back into his human form and hurry back as fast as he could.

Shi An carries the travel bag with her clothes in it and spreads her wings ready to leave.

But before he was about to fly out along the route he had broken in on, he suddenly hesitated.

Shi An craned her head toward the half-open door of the storeroom.

Though you've already had your fill, ......

His mind flashed to Mu Hang looking at the charred demon flesh with a subtle look on his face.

Shi An sighed.

Humans really are too picky eaters.

But seeing as Mu Hang had bought him ice cream on several occasions, he couldn't let people go hungry.

Shi An selectively ignored the fact that he spit it right out after one taste.

--He flew over with a clear conscience and looted the entire storeroom.

Immediately afterward, he thought for a few seconds, and then peeled out the medical first aid kit below him, grasping it with difficulty between his paws.

This should be no problem now.

Shi An's wings flapped, and she flew through the large hole in the ceiling, out of the house as if a tornado had passed through.

*

"Captain! Captain!"

A panting member of the Administration ran in through the door, his forehead all sweaty, but his face suppressed a look of excitement and thrill: "There, there's a clue!"

Wen Yao was shocked, "What?"

The Administration member caught his breath and continued, "That's right! There were reports from the west of what appeared to be dragon sightings witnessed deeper into the wilderness area, and then we pulled the magical tracking reports from all the no-man's land around that direction-"

He unfolds the map in front of Wen Yao and points his finger to the location of one of the barren hills.

"Based on the prognosis, the gargoyles are likely to be here."

Wen Yao's eyes lit up.

A glimmer of hope lit up her face as she fixed her eyes on the location on the map and craned her head to scan the values on the magic tracking report.

Wen Yao took a deep breath and ordered:

"Gather the crew, quick."

*

Mu Hang leaned against the cold, dark rock wall with his eyes closed.

At that moment, the sound of mountain wind being swept up by wings came from overhead.

The next moment, there were several "thumps" and something heavy was thrown to the ground, rolling along the curvature of the ground.

Mu Hang opened his eyes and raised them in the direction the voice came from.

Only to see all kinds of food scattered on the ground, basically all of them could be stored for a long time, canned food, ham, mineral water, and even several bags of raw rice, all of them were thrown haphazardly in front of him.

Mu Hang was stunned.

He lifted his head and looked overhead.

Only to see that the giant dragon with a silver-white body landed on the edge of the hole above his head, and was slowly closing his wings, a pair of golden-red vertical pupils slightly drooping, quietly looking over.

The next second, only another heavy thud landed.

A modest medical kit was dropped in front of him.

Mu Hang lapsed into silence, staring at the almost mountainous pile of items in front of him.

His eyes were half-lidded, the look underneath them hidden by long, silver-white lashes, not quite visible in the half-bright shadows.

Although, the huge dragon in front of him didn't look too different from before, for some reason, Mu Hang was still able to clearly perceive that the hostility and rage that burned in the other party's eyes at all times seemed to have been calmed down, and the previous chaotic, almost completely unintelligible state of the human's speech had also changed.

So what happened to ......?

Mu Hang shows a thoughtful look.

Only the dragon lowered its head, opened its mouth, and said in a low, muffled voice:

"Humans, let's make a deal."

Mu Hang's face was pale from blood loss, but his demeanor remained calm and indifferent.

He didn't answer, just raised his eyebrows slowly, his extremely deep eyes fixed on the distant dragon.

"For some reason, I need your help in order to heal," the dragon's massive form cast shadows within the cave, the pupils of his red-golden eyes gleaming as they backed the light:

"In the meantime, you'll need my help to get out of here."

"So how about a temporary truce?"

"You help me heal, and I'll let you go."

After a long time, the silence was finally broken.

Only the man's low, cold-quality voice rang out, echoing within the cave:

"What are you hurt?"

His eyes were a dark blue, looking as if they were a deep frozen lake, "Why do you have to ask me to heal you?"

Shi An maintained his apparent majesty and composure:

"Human, you care too much."

He flapped his wings behind him, "Do you agree or disagree?"

Mu Hang gazed deeply at the dragon before him, his knuckles tightening slightly.

If he were his usual self, such a deal would have been impossible to accept, but ......

In the depths of his mind, the teenager's clear face swept by.

The man's eyes deepened slightly.

Although it was clear that nothing would happen with the other party's strength, as time stretched on, the strong urgency of confirming the other party's safety rose in his heart, burning him internally at all times over the past few days, causing him to feel extremely irritable and uneasy.

After a long time, Mu Hang took a deep breath, his voice quiet and cold:

"Naturally."

Shi An breathed a sigh of relief.

Although he appeared to be confident of victory, he was actually a bit nervous in his heart - after all, he wasn't sure what Mu Hang's attitude towards dragons was, in case it was one of those "I'm dead set against cooperating with evil creatures like you", it would be much more difficult to deal with. It would be a lot harder to deal with.

Mu Hang: "So I should--"

How can I help you?

However, before he finished his words, he only saw the huge dragon standing at the mouth of the cave flapping its wings and slowly flying down, the further down it went, the smaller its figure became, and when it flew down in front of Mu Hang it looked only a little bit bigger.

Mu Hang stumbled, the rest of his words catching in his throat.

The Little dragon in front of her eyes was shining silver, the scales on her body were delicate and exquisite, the wings behind her back were only half a meter long at most even if they were unfolded, her tail was thin and pointed, and her pair of golden-red vertical pupils were large and round, more like some kind of expensive hand-me-downs or dolls than the hideous creatures that were capable of devouring everything with their fiery flames.

The dragon climbed into Mu Hang's arms on its own.

It used to plow the man's coat away, spun around, stomped on its paws, and found a comfortable spot to plop down, letting its cold body press against the other man's burning, firm chest, wrapping its tail around its body and balling itself up.

Mu Hang Stiff: "......"

Every inch of muscle in his body was taut with tension, all his strength hanging on the threshold of imminent eruption, like a bowstring poised for release.

Little Silver Dragon ordered in a serious manner:

"Human, you are not to move."

When it finished, it yawned, rested its chin on the tips of its own paws, and closed its eyes.

Soon, the cave was silent, and only the monotonous sound of air flowing beyond the peak could be faintly heard.

Mu Hang doesn't seem to have recovered.

Slowly, almost incredulously, he lowered his head toward his arms.

The dragon pressed solidly into his arms, bringing with it an extremely genuine, completely unfakeable heaviness.

The hard, cold touch of dragon scales came through a thin layer of fabric, and he could vaguely feel the rise and fall of the other man's spine and his steady breathing.

Mu Hang: ".................."

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes hard, but still hadn't banished the thick sense of absurdity from his mind.

So the purpose of this dragon from start to finish is ......

Sleeping in his arms?

Shi An nuzzled the stiff, taut chest of the human below and buried her head in it.

The warmth of human body heat wrapped around him, and the familiar coldness of his breath hit him in a very comforting way.

Shi An closed her eyes and began to concentrate on the gray magic within her body.

Sure enough, as he touched Mu Hang's skin, these stubborn, simply unabsorbable magical powers had a tendency to soften and disperse, and began to be gradually breached by him little by little.

Shi An was able to feel this whole process.

It's like a long-dry riverbed being consistently wetted and trickling into an empty valley.

The sensation was subtle and slow, but Shi An could clearly sense that with Mu Hang's help, he was getting stronger.

But I wonder if it's just him ......

Shi An always felt that as the amount of magic power increased, a strange heat seemed to be spreading faintly in his body ......

But once he went to scrutinize it, that feeling disappeared again.

So strange.

*

After a long time, twilight began to fall.

Mu Hang felt the dragon in his arms stir and opened his eyes.

Little Silver Dragon said in a serious tone:

"Human, thanks for your help."

He fluttered his wings and flew out of Mu Hang's arms.

Mu Hang swept a glance toward his arms, inexplicably feeling a little ...... empty.

He frowned and pushed the strange emotion down.

Shi An has returned to his normal size.

He thought for a moment, hung his head, and asked in an ancient, low voice, "Is there anything you'd like to eat? I'll bring it back for you?"

Mu Hang: "......"

It never occurred to him that a dragon would actually ask himself that question.

The man swept a glance toward the small mountain of supplies piled up a short distance away, then said calmly, expressionless, "I don't think I need much else."

That's true.

Shi An paws through the straw on the ground to reveal a smooth rocky area, then piles a woodpile in the center of it.

He opened his mouth and a cluster of golden-red flames erupted from his mouth.

There was only a crackle and the wood fire blazed, the cave was illuminated and the stone walls were imprinted with jumps of light.

Shi An said kindly:

"You can bake with it."

He flapped his wings and headed out of the cave.

But before they could fly far, Shi An seemed to think of something and stopped, turning her head towards Mu Hang and said:

"Although the dragon flame is also hard to extinguish, you still have to remember to add firewood to it from time to time."

Mu Hang: "........................ "

A stronger sense of grotesqueness struck.

He didn't know what to think anymore.

*

Shi An flew out of the cave.

The three demons were waiting for him within the mountains not far away.

Seeing Shi An fly in, the Demon Worm asked with some concern, "How's it going?"

Shi An flapped his wings in triumph, "Don't worry, Mu Hang didn't suspect anything at all, and the plan went perfectly."

He looked to the black smoke and asked:

"What about the work I asked you to do? How did it go?"

Black Smoke: "Don't worry, my lord, I've already managed to reveal the location of your hideout to the Administration, it's only a matter of time before they shine over."

Shi An: "About how long?"

Black Smoke contemplated for a few seconds, calculating:

"Two to three days."

Shi An showed a thoughtful look.

Based on today's rate, it would only absorb roughly a third of the magic power in two to three days, but it was enough, one couldn't be too greedy.

He nodded, "Yes!"

Black Smoke hesitated for a moment and asked in a cryptic voice, "By the way, my lord, how are you feeling physically today?"

Shi An didn't quite understand why Black Smoke suddenly asked this question, but answered anyway:

"It's pretty good, what's wrong?"

"Nothing strange or uncomfortable?"

Shi An cocked her head, "No."

Feeling the heat before ......

Probably an illusion, right?

*

The next two days were almost indistinguishable from the first.

For most of the day, Shi An makes herself small and sleeps in Mu Hang's arms, leaving again at night and returning in the early hours of the next morning with more food.

In the process, they barely interacted with each other any more than if they were just conducting a simple and uneventful transaction.

Another early morning.

Shi An robbed a watermelon field in the night and flew back grabbing a bunch of watermelons.

Feeding Mu Hang is only secondary.

Most importantly ......

He wants to eat too.

Just as Shi An was flying happily in the direction of the cave, suddenly a strange feeling of vertigo struck, like a fiery fire was rolling over the depths of his body, stealthily spreading along the course of his blood and veins.

"Boom--"

Shi An hit a mountain in a daze.

He shook his head ponderously, taking a long time to stabilize it.

Strange ......

What's going on here?

Shi An opened his eyes, only to realize that his claws had just come loose when he was caught off guard, and the round watermelon plummeted toward the bottom of the abyss.

His watermelon!

Shi An's eyes widened violently, throwing the dissimilarity of what she had just seen out of her mind, and she swooped straight down.

Inside the cave.

Mu Hang looks up every now and then toward the hole in the head.

A few days ago, the dragon had returned at this time, but this time, for some reason, it was much later than before.

Inexplicably, Mu Hang felt a little upset.

I think it's because I'm worried about Chiron breaking the contract.

He concluded in his mind.

After another ten minutes or so, the familiar sound of wind and waves tumbling came, and the huge, imposing form of the dragon appeared overhead as it flew down, placing a lone watermelon in its claws in front of Mu Hang.

I don t know if it was Mu Hang s illusion, he always felt that the dragon in front of him looked as if ...... it was a bit sad?

With that, the dragon spoke, its low, muffled, familiar voice echoing through the cavern, instantly dispelling any strange speculation in Mu Hang's mind, "Well, humans, today is the last day."

Mu Hang: "Are you getting better?"

Shi An: "Yes."

He lied.

It should be a long time until the magic power is absorbed, the main reason why he wants to end it today is because of the black smoke and the magic bugs and they have sent him a message that the Administration's people will probably be able to find this place this evening.

Mu Hang's expression was light, and the color in the bottom of his eyes was neither happy nor angry:

"Yeah."

Shi An: "I'll let you go tonight."

With that, he shrunk himself once more and nestled familiarly into Mu Hang's arms.

Mu Hang lowered his head and looked toward the dragon in his arms.

Little Silver Dragon tilted his head, his red-gold eyes slinking round and clear as if they could reflect his face.

It said, "Don't worry, this dragon is a noble and elegant creature and will not lie."

Mu Hang stares at him for a long moment, then laughs softly:

"In that case, let's not waste time."

Shi An nodded sagely and stomped around in Mu Hang's arms, finding a suitable spot and skillfully curling herself into a small ball before closing her eyes and beginning to continue digesting the magic.

This time, instead of closing his eyes, Mu Hang gazed thoughtfully at the dragon in his arms.

There's always been a strange sense of dissonance lately.

It always felt like ...... wasn't supposed to look like this.

The speed of magic power absorption in his body was as Shi An expected, by now it had been almost one third of the way, although there was still a lot of residue, but the progress of this strength recovery was already much faster than his previous burning of demons.

Shi An absorbed the magic with seriousness.

It was at that moment that, without warning, that sensation that seemed to burn like a blazing fire rose again.

It was as if some tiny platform had loosened a little, and a strange, treacherous heat seeped out of it.

Shi An frowned, curling herself up a little tighter with some difficulty.

He hoped that this strange feeling would disappear automatically like the other day, but, unexpectedly, as time passed, not only did this feeling not disappear, but instead, it seemed like it would build up inside his body, gradually growing little by little.

It feels like ...... is a little dangerous.

Mu Hang noticed that the Little dragon in his arms suddenly began to stir.

Though its eyes were still tightly closed, the wings on its back began to open and close frequently, its body curled up a little tighter, and the tip of its thin tail swung frequently.

The tips of the dragon's claws unconsciously hooked and tugged at Mu Hang's shirt, bringing a vague hint of subtle pain through the thin fabric.

Mu Hang lowered his head and subconsciously raised his hand to hold the dragon in case it planted itself out of his arms.

It was only after doing this that he froze slightly.

This was the first time in the past few days that he had taken the initiative to contact a gargoyle.

The scales under the palm of his hand were cold and smooth, compared to that previous touch when the other party was at its normal size, the smaller dragon was much softer to the touch, and although the scales attached to the outside were still hard, he was able to clearly feel the soft and tough little body underneath the coverage of the scales.

Seeming to feel the warmth of a human hand, Little dragon naturally snuggled into it.

It rubbed its own head unconsciously against the other's chest, shivering less visibly, and continued to move closer in the direction the warmth was coming from.

Mu Hang pursed his lips and stiffened his spine slightly against the wall behind him.

He could feel that the tiny Silver Dragon was instinctively burrowing into his arms, almost as if ......

In the hope of being touched like.

Strange, obviously it's the first time ......

Why does he have a familiar feeling ...... That strange closeness seems to be deep in the soul and instincts, making Mu Hang instinctively resist.

Mu Hang frowned slightly, slowly pressing his fingertips against the other man's jutting ridges.

Exploratory, tentative, hesitant, touching the gargoyle in his arms without any other emotion.

It was the first time he had, at such close quarters, and in such an unusual way, groped and explored the physiology of a species that had been lost for ten thousand years throughout the continent.

The scales at the back of the dragon's spine were the hardest, and even if you just touched them, Mu Hang could clearly sense the powerful force contained within.

Then the wings.

The dragon's wings were supported by hard bones that were able to cover the entire body when unfolded, the bones were covered with a fine membrane that was soft and tough, like a thin and thin ribbon, and the scales on them were the most delicate, like some kind of soft-textured metal that glistened with an icy luster.

--The strength of the scales Mu Hang had already felt very clearly.

Even the magic blade that he had condensed with all his might would not be able to penetrate, but would instead be easily broken.

If you can't penetrate the scale armor, you can't slay the dragon.

Mu Hang's mind is clear and calm.

He ran his fingertips along the dragon's spine, searching for any possible weaknesses.

Unfortunately, no.

The dragon scales were like thick and tight armor, covering the entirety of the dragon's body without leaving a single gap that could be captured by the enemy.

Not bad for a fantasy species that once rode the continent to the top of the food chain.

Mu Hang frowned, deep in thought.

Without realizing it, his fingers brushed over the dragon's long, silvery-white tail.

He'd touched him once before, but it had been brief, and the dragon hadn't curled up obediently in his arms and let him touch it as he was doing now.

As Mu Hang's fingers landed somewhere on the dragon's tail.

The silver-white Little dragon suddenly shivered.

It fiercely stared with its eyes wide open, and deep within a pair of reddish-golden vertical pupils, fiery flames were blazing, and its narrow pupils narrowed into a thin slit, looking shocked and furious.

Shi An snapped back and viciously bit the tip of Mu Hang's finger,

Teeth the size of grains of rice were deeply embedded into the skin of the other party, and although the dragon's teeth were very sharp, the wounds left behind were small, just deep, due to the difference in size.

Bright red streams of blood oozed from the wound and dripped down.

The human's blood was crimson and burning, wetting the fabric beneath his body in a matter of moments.

"Human, you are too bold." The giant dragon gritted its teeth, "You're not allowed to touch me!"

Mu Hang didn't move a muscle and let him bite.

His eyes were downcast, his long silver-white eyelashes casting deep shadows on his face, his eyes cold and blue, devoid of any shade.

"If I had to guess, your healing would be touch-related, right?"

He said in a calm, low voice.

Mu Hang had been thinking about this for the past few days, and while it hadn't been fully determined, it now seemed to be the only reasonable explanation at the moment.

--Skin to skin with one's arch-enemy.

What an unorthodox and bizarre treatment.

Little dragon was slightly stunned and subconsciously loosened his clenched teeth.

Mu Hang pulled his finger out of the other man's mouth and slowly and methodically swiped away the blood.

His voice was no different than before, only slightly lower:

"Didn't I say that?"

In the next moment, the man's hot palm covered the dragon's spine with ease, and the heat from the human instantly made Shi An shiver, one part of his body wanting to move closer, while other parts pulled at him trying to escape.

Mu Hang's brow bones are deep and his eyes are tucked away in the shadows, appearing distant and indifferent.

So did his voice.

Low, calm, moralistic, without the slightest emotional fluctuation.

"There's no point in wasting time."

He squeezed Shi An's wing and stroked down Little dragon's spine, rubbing his fingertips over the other's belly.

Shi An froze from head to paw, her pupils dilating and rounding as if in shock.

Mu Hang asked softly:

"The sooner it's over, the better, isn't it?"
